***This is a full length stand alone romance. Although a spinoff book from the Caldwell Brothers Series, it is not necessary to read any other books before this one, but it is recommended.***

Ok so wow ...... Kid's story wasn't an easy one to read. He hasn't had an easy life (that is seriously putting it mildly) however he refuses to really open up and let people in. He is someone that keeps everyone at arms length, and makes sure that no one really knows everything about him. Little did he think that one woman may change everything he thinks, feels, wants and desires ....... and more than just in the bedroom. How could this all get flipped upside down due to a journal??

Tatum on the other hand has one person that she let all the way in. She has seen what happens when you make yourself vulnerable to someone else and their love, and she never wants to do that again. For Tatum, she needs someone to help inspire her, be her muse, if she is ever going to get this new story written that her editor wants her to write. Little does she know, that this has the potential for making her really look closely at her life and risk making some huge changes.

Both these people have been hurt, betrayed, and are damaged. Yet what is going to happen when they have to open themselves up to others out there in the world?? Are they ever going to be able to be honest, open, and vulnerable?? Will they risk all that pain again? This story is so close to a real life story that it is scary at times. She has one best friend that really knows her demons and her wounds and why she is so scared. He has a few friends, however they don't know everything, and he is ok with that, or is he really???

About SHADE’S LADY:

New York Times bestselling author Joanna Wylde returns to the world of the Reapers Motorcycle Club…

Looking back, none of this would’ve happened if I hadn’t dropped my phone in the toilet. I mean, I could’ve walked away from him if I’d had it with me.

Or maybe not.

Maybe it was all over the first time he saw me, and he would’ve found another way. Probably—if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that Shade always gets what he wants, and apparently he wanted me.

Right from the first.

Stylized close detailed portrait of masculine handsome young man in sepia tones

“Did you get my text?” Sara asked, pushing through the office door. I’d just finished tying my apron around my waist, and was leaning toward the cracked mirror on the wall for one last makeup check before punching in.
“No,” I replied, frowning. “Dropped my cell in the toilet this morning. I called the phone people. They said I didn’t have any insurance, so I’m fucked. I put it on Future Me’s list of things to worry about.”
Sadly, Future Me’s list got longer every day. She was supposed to pay our credit card bill, figure out whether we should break up with our boyfriend, and find a better place to sleep than my sister’s couch. She also needed to lose ten pounds and magically fix the rusted-out Kia Sedona currently broken down in my sister’s yard.
Present Me would’ve felt guilty about dumping all this on the poor thing, but I only had three minutes left to punch in and start slinging drinks for drunken bikers, so it would just have to wait.
Yup. I’m organized like that.
Studying my reflection, I ran an eye down the length of my body. Tight tank with a hint of bra showing? Check. (Nothing like some boob action to bring in the tips. Not only that, Rebel had said he’d be here tonight, and he always liked seeing the girls.)
Lipstick was bright and shiny, no smudges on the teeth. More eye makeup than I’d usually wear, but ever since I’d started hanging out with Rebel’s biker friends, I’d kicked it up a notch. Made me look wild and sexy. Not gonna lie—I liked this new me. I liked her a lot. I guess if there was one good thing about my sister’s life falling apart—and me moving to Violetta to help with the kids—it was that it’d forced me to change my life, too.

Ok so let me start by saying this is only the second book from this amazing author I have read. However, I have fallen in complete love with her MC world and need all her words. Seriously, these guys are the uber Alpha, dominating men that are super protective of their women, and yet melt for their woman on a regular basis (just not where the brothers can see)

Mandy is a young woman that is very much like myself. She is working her ass off to try and support and help her sister and three young nieces. Little did she expect to have everything in her life get flipped upside down by the guy she was dating. Mandy works hard as a waitress at the one bar in town, slinging drinks and flirting just enough to increase her tips but not get a bad reputation.
Like many of us women, Mandy has been burned by a bad relationship (read relationship from hell) and bad choice in men in her life. However, she is trying to turn it around and just have some fun right now.

Shade is the president of the MC and not someone to trifle with. He is the one person that everyone knows, respects, and doesn't take crap from anyone. When he is offered the one thing that he really wants, he is willing to take it. Little does he know, he was lied to (so was she) and that nothing is as it seems. He is a strong, silent type who refuses to back down but treats his brothers with the respect they deserve and have earned.

These two seem to be oil and water, however when shaken well and mixed just right, they blend really well together and in fact make the other half better. Little do they know that this isn't something that either of them can easily walk away from ...... the question is do they want to try and walk away from it and each other??
