TAKE THE LEAP

She’s got her feet planted on the ground. He’ll teach her to fly.

Jessica, a curvy, driven, neat freak lawyer, is ecstatic when she finally gets her dream job—even though it's taking her away from her hometown. When she meets over-the-top, man-mountain Mikey, a fitness buff and veterinarian with a messy life in all senses of the word, she thinks she just walked into the second-most exciting adventure of her life.

His larger-than-life personality fascinates her, but also shakes the foundations of her quiet, introverted self, knocking her off-kilter. It’s a bad idea to let him take her on as a weight-loss client. It’s an even worse idea to get involved with him since he’s her manwhore roommate...and she’s seen him in action.

If they give into their undeniable attraction, is it just a train wreck waiting to happen? Or will their desire fuel a chance at real love?

If you love steamy romance, be sure to check out the fourth standalone in the Giving You series.

Holy COW!!! Ok so for me, this was the first in the series that I read, and let me say, it did NOT disappoint.

Jessica is a young woman that has had anything but an easy life this far. She had a rough childhood, and sadly is paying for that now as an adult. Jessica is someone that i can relate to, not because of her past, but because of the way she sees herself now and how she handles food. She is a young woman that hates the way her body looks, the way she handles food, and things that she has to lose weight so that she can start to live. Sadly, this is something I think a lot of us face, feel, and live with.

Through this book we see that Jessica has to learn the lessen that we all have to learn: you have to love yourself before others can truly love you, and you have to be true to yourself, take care of yourself, and be honest with yourself and your needs. These are lessons that are hard for Jessica to learn as she has to face the way she treats food, not as something to sustain her, but as something to hide her feelings.

Mikey is the young man that she ends up living with when she moves north and away from her mother. While Mikey may seem to have his life together and have no real worries, there is so much more there than meets the eye. He hasn't had an easy life either, however he hasn't really been ready to face his past and come to look forward and clean up his life. When he does, everything starts to change for him, and yet, some things stay the same.

Will these two damaged souls be able to admit to their pasts, face their future, and be honest with what they want and need?? Will Jessica be able to face her demons on her own?? Will Mikey be able to stay strong when it seems like he has lost everything? Will they be able to be honest and open with each other, as well as others in their lives??

Man doing parkour in the city on a sunny day

Leslie McAdam is a California girl who loves romance, Little Dude, and well-defined abs. She lives in a drafty old farmhouse on a small orange tree farm in Southern California with her husband and two small children. Leslie always encourages her kids to be themselves – even if it means letting her daughter wear leopard print from head to toe. An avid reader from a young age, she will always trade watching TV for reading a book, unless it’s Top Gear. Or football. Leslie is employed by day but spends her nights writing about the men you fantasize about. She’s unapologetically sarcastic and notoriously terrible at comma placement (that’s what editors are for!). Always up for a laugh, Leslie tries to see humor in all things. When she’s not in the writing cave you’ll find her fangirling over Beck, camping with her family, or mixing up oil paints to depict her love of outdoors on canvas.
