Synopsis

Max “Slick” Jones has never led an easy life. He’s rough, hardened and tatted on the outside and never once thought that he deserved to be loved. Despite his upbringing, he’s dedicated his life to helping others. When his old friend Asher Wellington calls upon his services, he drops everything knowing he has a lifetime of debt to fulfill to this family. But, what he didn’t expect was to meet Chloe.

Chloe Peters grew up in a privileged, picture perfect life with amazing parents and her twin brother, Kyle. She and Kyle were living out their lifelong dream until one second, one moment in time changed everything and sent her into a tailspin she thought she could never recover from.

Will the exchange of deep dark pain in the eyes of two hardened souls open the door to a happily ever after?

Can Max show Chloe that there can be life after tragedy? Can Chloe Show Max that he is worthy of love?

Sometimes the hardest person to forgive, is yourself.

This is a mature audience book, and is intended for adults only.

Excerpt

Ever so slowly I enter her. Never in my life have I wanted something to last forever. This feeling, this moment, right here, the love that I feel bursting from my chest, is something I’ve never felt before. It’s something I never felt like I deserved. But I feel like if I died today, I’d die a happy man knowing what true love feels like. This is what a man waits for his entire life. This is what being in love feels like.

Excerpt

She walks over to the window, pulls back the sheer white curtain, and stares out into what seems like nothingness. She places her forehead on the glass and slowly shakes it back and forth. I can’t stand to see her like this. I walk across the room and stand behind her. I question whether or not I should even touch her. My hand hovers over her arm as the hairs stand on end, begging me for my touch. Her mind is telling her no, but her body is crying out to me, begging me for help. Ever so softly I touch the back of her arms. She jumps and picks her head off the window, but doesn’t shrug it away. I run my hand down the back of her arms and bury my nose in the crook of her neck. I feel the goose bumps forming on her arms and I hear her breathing increase. I know she’s still in this broken shell. I know if I don’t do something now, I risk the possibility of never freeing her from her demons. And I know just what I need to do.

Chloe has lived through so much pain and heartache that all you want is for her to have her happy ending. However, things don't always go they way we want. With her job as an OB/GYN, she knows that sometimes life doesn't give us what we want. After facing the heartache of losing her patient and their baby, she is in a dark place. However she doesn't expect that the father of that baby & husband of the patient to kidnap her. This isn't something that she is prepared for.

Max isn't the typical knight in shining armor riding in on a white horse to saver Chloe (or anyone else). He is tattooed, and a PI. Yes he likes to help others, however Chloe isn't who he expected. He is going to help her out as a favor to her brother Kyle.

Max isn't the super alpha guy in this book. He is someone that needs Chloe to soften him up and make him admit that there is more to life out there. Chloe needs him to help her pick up the pieces and get her to face forward and keep going, even knowing that there is so much hurt and darkness in the world.

This was a great book. I loved these two characters together, and how they balance each other out. Loved picking up with this great family as well. I recommend this to anyone that wants a story with strong characters, a loving, supportive family, and a great story. I personally, loved how strong they each had to be for themselves, as well as each other!

MeetTheAuthor

I am an “Indie” contemporary romance author. I live in California with my husband and two teenage boys. I absolutely love being a stay at home mom.

I never liked reading as a kid. I only started reading romance novels in the past few years. My Kindle and I are inseparable now. A thought occurred to me in December of 2012 that maybe I could write a romance novel. So I went to work with the encouragement of my husband and my sister-in-law. It didn’t take long to figure out that I really enjoy writing.

Today I am a self-published author and it has been an amazing journey.

Amelia Wellington is a quiet, young, successful business woman. Her past relationships have left her with scars so deep she has sworn off men all together. Until that one fateful day she quite literally runs into Doctor Kyle Peters, that is.
Doctor Kyle Peters is a busy young OB/GYN holding on to a tragic past that has torn his family apart, making it difficult for him to give his heart to any woman. But when a beautiful woman crashes into him on a routine day at work, he finds his world turning upside down.
Will Running Into Love be enough for them to find a happily ever after together? Does Kyle have what it takes to heal Amelia’s broken heart and change her outlook on life? Will Kyle’s past result in tragedy as history repeats itself?
When it comes to matters of the heart, sometimes you have to run not walk.

Amelia is trying hard to overcome the heartbreak that she has suffered due to her ex. When her brother & sister-in-law have their baby, she rushes from work to get to the hospital. As she rushes into the room to meet her niece, her clumsy identity comes out with a vengeance. She drops the vase of flowers, and when trying to clean it up, she ends up cutting her hand badly.

Kyle is an OB/Gyn at the hospital, and the one that Amelia literally ran into. Kyle helps her clean up the broken crystal vase, and when Amelia slices her hand open, he helps take care of her. Kyle continues to help take care of Amelia with her hand. Kyle is struggling with the pain that has torn his family apart for the last two years.

Through all the issues, ups and downs, Kyle stands by Amelia. These two fight, together, all the issues, pain and troubles that a couple faces. Just when everything seems to be going so well for them, tragedy strikes. Will Kyle & Amelia be able to face this tragedy and get through it in one piece?

This book had me entranced from the very start, and never let go. At the end, I wanted to know more about this amazing family. I personally can't wait for the next book in this amazing series.

“Leave the shoes on honey,” I whisper.
I am so ready to just sink into her, but I’m fully aware that I need to see to her needs first. And that is something I can do willingly. I have been thinking about the first time nonstop. She was so responsive, and it is something I can quickly become addicted to.
I make my way down and she smells so damn good. She’s breathing heavy, anticipating my next move. Just like last time she’s on fire. Her legs start twitching as she writhes beneath me. It doesn’t take her long and she’s coming in my mouth, screaming my name. She digs those amazing heels in my back and I need to be inside her now. While she rides her orgasm back down, I reach in the night stand for a condom. I’m so turned on by just the noises she was making I don’t think it will take me long to find my own release. Rolling the condom on, I take my position over top of her. I can see the look of want in her eyes. She grabs my neck and pulls me down for a fierce kiss. I know she can taste herself on my lips and it’s beyond fucking hot. I slowly enter her and she makes whimpering noises.
“Oh, that feels so good,” she says.
I sink all the way in and start to move slowly. She’s so verbal and it feels so good I can feel myself quickly at the brink. She bucks her hips and flips me over on my back. In one swift movement she’s riding me hard and deep. She bends her knees up and plants her feet on either side of my hips. She then leans back and places her hands on my knees. She moves slowly as her head falls back, the ends of her long blonde hair brush my upper thighs.
MeetTheAuthor
I am an “Indie” adult contemporary romance author. I am a wife and a stay at home mom. I have been married to my wonderful husband since 1996. I love being a stay at home mom to our two teenage boys. We have a handful of pets, a dog named Lucy (who is in my books), a guinea pig named Flufy, (my son spells her name that way) and a cat named meow-meow, who adopted us many years ago and has never left.
I never liked reading as a kid and I only started reading romance novels in the past few years. Soon I couldn't get enough of them. My Kindle and I are inseparable now. A thought occurred to me in December of 2012 that maybe I could write a romance novel. So I went to work with the encouragement of my husband and my sister-in-law. It didn't take long to figure out that I really enjoyed writing.
I entered my book in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest in January of 2013. Needless to say my three hundred word pitch didn't even make it through the first round. My book never even got read. So now what do you do with a 50,000+ word book? With more encouragement by my wonderful family I decided to self- publish it. So here I am today a self- published author. It has been a lot of hard work but I wouldn't change a single thing.
It has not been an easy road and there has been a lot of self- doubt, but I stuck with it and I wouldn't change a thing. I've been blessed to have been put in contact with some amazing people that have supported and encouraged me every step of the way.
