RELEASE BLITZ
EL DIABLO
RELEASE DATE: AUGUST 30TH, 2016
I was ruthless.
I was feared.
I had sacrificed. Myself. Her. Everything...
Living in a world where I was worth more dead than alive was
a choice. I was a bad man, never claimed to be anything else. I’ve done things
I’m not proud of. Seen things that can’t be unseen. I’ve caused pain that I
can’t undo.
It was all my choice.
Every decision.
Every order.
Right and wrong never mattered.
Until her.
She was under my protection, until she became my obsession.
But who was going to save her...
From. Me. The devil himself.
Fate brought us together. Destiny destroyed us.
“Go stretch again, cariƱo,” I ordered in a dominant tone. Nodding to the barre.
“I’m fine,” she stubbornly replied. Shaking her legs and arms out. Getting back into position, looking at me through the mirror.
I cocked my head to the side, arching an eyebrow. She narrowed her eyes at me, but begrudgingly listened. I pressed play, allowing the melody to once again take over. She placed her leg on the lowest barre, making her ass stick out in my direction.
Tempting me.
She closed her eyes, needing to get lost in the music, wanting to push away all the negative thoughts, already feeling discouraged. I stood, taking off my suit jacket. Rolling up the sleeves of my collared shirt as I stepped onto the hardwood floor. I slowly came up behind her, catching her off guard.
She froze, turning around, opening her eyes. Peering up at me through her lashes. “What are you doing?”
I leaned forward against her ear, grinning. “I’m helping you stretch.” Getting down on my knees in front of her.
Her eyes dilated. The feeling of disappointment replaced with nothing but lust. She placed her arms out to the side, resting up against the barre, supporting her weight. I grabbed her ankle, lifting it up in the air, rubbing along her leg as it was fully stretched, before setting it on the lowest barre. Running my other hand up her side, easing her over toward the extended leg. She understood what I was doing, reaching for her ankle, stretching. Standing back up, bringing her arms above her head, I caressed along her leg again, casually turning her torso so her leg was still placed on the barre behind her.
Her breathing hitched as I touched her all over her lower body. My lips softly kissing the inside of her thigh to where she wanted my mouth the most.
Ok so holy crap she does it again. I mean seriously, she once again took my heart, ripped it out of my chest, wrung it out, stomped on it, put it in a shredder, torched it, stabbed it, healed it, and put it back in my chest.
So this is the amazing story of Martinez. A man that is not a good, decent man, and hasn't been that kind of a man since he was young. His whole world changed one night when he was a young man. That one night literally rocked his entire world and had rippling effects that never seem to stop. Little does he know that this one event is going to shape the man he becomes.
Martinez is The Dominant man that doesn't make any excuses for his behavior. He doesn't do relationships, ever. He doesn't do comforting, cuddling, loving, or anything of the sort. Martinez is a man that only needs women long enough to get what he wants, that release under his terms.
Lexi is a young woman that has had the worst sort of life growing up. She has pretty much had to raise herself, face down evil as a young girl, and do it all knowing that there is no one out there for her. All she has in her life is her dancing. Lexi doesn't do relationships, she doesn't really get close to others or let them get close to her, she doesn't like people touching her, and honestly, she is ok with that.
These two people couldn't seem more different if they tried. They seriously seem to be on polar opposites of the scale of good vs evil. However as we all know, things aren't always what they appear. Just when you think you have it figured out, the rug get pulled out from under you and down you fall. They try to learn from their mistakes, however, that isn't always easy. How do you stop your heart from beating??
I am going to be honest, I have loved every one of the books from M. Robinson. However, El Diablo is something on a whole other level. This book moved me to tears, made me stop and take a time out while in the middle of reading, and even process for quite some time after I was done. This was a book that once again, and like normal, is filled with angst. It totally gives you a giant case of the feels and makes you go the range of tears, love, laughter, hatred, agony, heartbreak, wanting to hurt someone, wanting to hold them close then turn around and push them away, keep them close and then run away from them. Basically it puts you through an entire relationship, but through the words of this amazing author. Once again, the #QueenOfAngst delivers and still reigns supreme!!
